How we use sources
Source links are part of reader trust. Articles should show where factual claims come from.
Preferred sources
- Official documents, court filings, government pages and institutional reports.
- Reputable news agencies and established media outlets.
- Original videos or public statements when they are the story lead.
- Primary datasets or policy documents for explainers.
Video-led stories
When an article is based on a YouTube video, the video can be embedded for context and views remain with the original uploader. Claims from the video should be cross-checked with reliable external sources where possible.
